NOTES
According to a link via site www.bahamas.gov.bs which credits the Department of Archives:
It is stated, Philip Rahming was inspired to write an Anthem (which took him 20 minutes), due to following the example of Hugh Sherlock a Methodist Minister who wrote the National Anthem of Jamaica. After writing an Anthem, Philip Rahming wrote a pledge and designed a flag.
The Pledge was written on a snowy day in April 1971 in Kentucky where Philip Rahming was a student of "Southern Baptist Theological Seminary" in Louisville Kentucky.
The three pieces were submitted into a competition, the Anthem was accepted as "The national Song", and the pledge is as above was accepted in 1978.
